“Do what you love! Because you’ll get so good at it, they’ll pay you to do it!” That’s not exactly what your parents told you growing up, is it? Well maybe they should have, because for Shaun and Laurelle Mellet’s children, this capitalist mantra worked like a charm: Their now 20-year-old middle son is quickly turning into the epitome of the 21st century celebrity, a YouTube sensation turned pop star who expertly combines an undeniable talent for songwriting with a knack for social media. Throw some puppy-eyed good looks into the mix, and there you have him: Troye Sivan, your little sister’s new favorite singer.
Growing up as a gay kid in Spain was an utterly daunting experience. I started out by performing my attraction to girls, as all the other boys were doing, only to later find myself actually feeling attraction toward boys. So the realization that I was a homosexual actually brought me some peace as I could finally explain myself, at least to myself. But that peace of mind didn’t last very long.

I’m wearing the sweater my friend Jason gave me for my birthday. It’s by Golden Fleece. It almost matches my hair, and everybody says it brings out my eyes (they’re blue). I decided to wear it to the party tonight with my tight black jeans. The Fleece makes my nipples itch a little bit (I’m not wearing anything underneath).

Now that No Shave November is officially over, some, but not all, of the beards may be coming off. Did you even notice? Perhaps you should have. It’s about more than you think. Kyle Eckert explains.

Andy Simmons is the young illustrator behind this vibrant world of #BubblegumFem boys known as Hey Rooney, currently operating out of Salt Lake City. Striking a pose with splash of neon color on the lips and nips, these pin-ups are drawing big social media traffic with nearly 20k followers on his Instagram alone.
And who the hell am I? If you’ve been following the blog at all, you may have wondered out of which horny hole this perverted punk has stepped. I won’t reveal too much – a bit of mystery is sexy, right? But a few things may be in order.
First, I was born in that part of the world that most people think is actually Canada, but it’s not. I was born in Alaska. Who would have thought that place could produce more than oil and Sarah Palin – two decidedly unsexy things.
Second, I’m no stranger to sex on screen. I appeared in two arty porn films with DVD releases: one in San Francisco and one here in Berlin. There may be other footage of me out there, but if so, I don’t know where. And yup, I moved to Berlin from gay ol’ San Francisco, where I learned to be a proper fag and how to be a writer all at the same time.
There’s more from San Francisco coming your way via Dandy Dicks, so stay tuned.
But I left San Francisco. And took my heart with me. Five years now in Berlin and I can’t think of a better place to be. I’ve been making it here as a writer ever since and I’m happy to report there’s no going back.
I think I’ve given you enough of the basics. More you’ll just have to find out either through this blog or a little Google. But I hope with that you stick around Dandy Dicks – for this blog and of course, the boys!
